Desmond Crisis started his double-agent career as both a game developer and radio personality. Always one foot in tech and the other in broadcasting, he was tapped as a nominator and evaluator for the first ever Interactive Media Festival, traveling the world to view and describe the first explosion of interactive art and media. Always the “new early adopter” and founder of Otaku Patrol Group, he has also appeared in The Cyberpunk Handbook and the feature documentary Synthetic Pleasures. Desmond was on hand to witness the birth of the consumer Internet and personal technology boom as host and correspondent on CNET’s Sci-Fi Channel shows Cool Tech, CNET Central, The Web, and The New Edge. On radio, The Desmond Crisis Program quickly developed a reputation as “BS detector” in the flood of technology news.
